Pomelo
Pomelo is the largest citrus fruit and a sweet, mild ancestor of the grapefruit, prized for its juicy flesh, floral citrus aroma, and minimal bitterness. With a thick rind and large, easy-to-separate segments, pomelo offers a refreshing balance of sweetness with a hint of lemony tang.

Often enjoyed fresh or added to salads, pomelo pairs beautifully with seafood, herbs, peanuts, and chili. Rich in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and antioxidants, it’s a nourishing, low-calorie citrus option.

Ripe pomelos are pale green to yellow on the outside, with varieties featuring white, pink, or red flesh. The thick pith and membrane are removed before eating, revealing crisp, aromatic segments perfect for snacking or sharing.

Although not super local, these fruits were grown on a small family farm in Southern California called San Gabriel Ranch with organic practices. We are happy to be able to offer them when we can as a convenience to our customers and still support small farms at the same time.
