Collection: Silver Creek Farms

Silver Creek Farm was founded in 2017 by Tony Stirling and his wife, Leah, on their farmstead near Ladd, Illinois. Tony, who grew up on a corn and soybean operation in central Illinois and studied at Illinois State University, gained experience in corn research with Pioneer and later in business and tax management through his work with Illinois FBFM.

Silver Creek Farm specializes in hydroponic lettuce grown in a controlled greenhouse environment, providing fresh, chemical-free greens year-round. Their focus on sustainable practices ensures that local restaurants, grocery stores, and communities have access to high-quality, locally grown produce.

In 2022, Tony expanded his work by founding Valley Fresh Harvest with support from the Down At The Farms network. He is actively building a network of local farmers in the Illinois Valley area, now numbering 15 farms and growing, with the goal of supporting more farm families and increasing the availability of truly local products for the community.
