Collection: Budded Mattah
Budded Mattah is a Peoria, Illinois–based nonprofit urban agriculture movement focused on restoring food access and empowering communities through gardening, education, and local food production. The name Budded Mattah comes from the biblical account of Aaron’s staff budding and producing fruit (Numbers 17:8), a symbol of life brought forth where none was expected—reflecting the belief that transformation is possible even in places long affected by food insecurity.
Through community gardens, education, and hands-on support, Budded Mattah equips residents with resources, knowledge, and opportunity, along with a clear, step-by-step vision for addressing food insecurity in Peoria. Their work emphasizes self-sufficiency, community connection, and measurable pathways toward long-term food resilience.
